About Us
Winch Industries Pty Ltd was established in Brisbane in the early 1970's as a winch manufacturing and general engineering firm. We have steadily grown to become a significant force in gear cutting, general engineering and winch production. We pride ourselves on having achieved an excellent reputation in the marketplace for honesty and reliability and we are known for going that little bit further, to make sure the job is done right.
Our company is essentially divided into two divisions:
GEAR Division
Formerly known as Archerfield Precision Engineering
The Gear Division specialises in the manufacture of all types of gears. On our premises we can manufacture bevel gears, worm wheels and worm shafts, helical and straight cut spur gears, sprockets, sheaves, rack cutting, internal and external splines, slotting, gear tooth grinding, thread milling and all facets of general engineering

WINCH Division
The Winch Division specialises in the design and manufacture a complete range of production winches for the tow truck, tilt tray and recovery market, a range of electric winches for the marine sector along with a series of large industrial purpose hand winches. GEARS AND WINCHES also manufacture custom designed solutions for use in all industry sectors, for hoisting and/or hauling applications. Spare parts for winches that are difficult to source or are no longer in production are manufactured. To complement our production and custom winches, GEARS AND WINCHES import various winches and components from quality suppliers around the world.
